Teaching in Japan

I am currently employed in Hirosaki as an ALT, an Assistant Language Teacher working every day with Japanese high school students and a handful of JTEs (Japanese Teachers of English). Right now I teach English to mostly high school first years (15-16 year olds, 10th graders in the US) and occasionally to second and third years. I may write about it at some point; however, that's not the focus of this blog, and here's why:

1) There are already countless JET/ALT/TESL/English in Japan blogs all over the internet.

2) I like to take and share pictures, and due to strict privacy and security rules in Japanese schools, I can't share pictures of the school, students or staff without express permission.

3) I'm much more interested in taking pictures and writing about all the other things there are to see and do in Hirosaki and the rest of Japan and beyond.

That's all... thanks!
